Deer God

A horror game about being hunted by a beast that can take the form of other innocent creatures. I made this game for my final Game Design assignment for school.  

Story: You are wandering around in the forest, looking for some big game to hunt, something you’ve been doing for as long as you remember.

On this day, however, the forest is exceptionally quiet, only spotting a handful of deer, which got away before you could even ready your rifle.

As the evening falls you start becoming annoyed, not even being able to catch some smaller animals has hurt your ego. Even though the sun is setting your stubbornness pushes you forward even further into the deep woods. You don’t recall ever stepping foot in this part however, you are too determent to go back. After all, you have all the gear you need to spend the night in the forest if needed.

While telling yourself this you get caught off guard by a sudden drop in the terrain. You try to grab onto one of the nearby branches, but you fail.

After an uncertain amount of time, you wake up completely disoriented. Miraculously you sustained no major injuries from the fall, only a couple of scratches. Your rifle, on the contrary, is beyond repair. Your common sense gets the upper hand over your stubbornness, and you decide to try and find a way back home. The hill is too steep to climb so you’ll have to find another path. 

While walking through this uncharted part of the forest you get a feeling that another hunter has its eyes on you, one that is an expert in camouflage
